Testimonials

I've always been suspicious of testimonials, and now that I have one, my suspicion has been confirmed. They are self-serving.
My blog has only been up for over a year (seems longer, doesn't it?) and I just received my first testimonial. I’m including it below. The endorsement is in black ink and my editorial comments are in red.
This email testimonial is from my daughter Steph who has never read my blog, but she just learned that I am writing one, so she sent me an email that I prefer to think of as a testimonial:
Steph: WTF mom!!!!
(Steph always over-uses exclamation points. I think it’s a generational thing but, for grammar in general, I give her full credit for knowing the difference between commas and semi colons).
Steph: A blog??? My friends’ mothers are planning Viking River Cruises (I get sea sick so the Hudson River is more my style, not the Viking River, wherever that is) or going on a Roads Scholar trip to see empowered women artifacts in Mexico (my closet is filled with empowered women artifacts like my protest tee shirts), or learning pickle ball (does she know me? I grew up where Dodge Ball was the only sport).
Steph continues: If you are going to pursue this blog idea, be sure that you stay anonymous and don’t write about me. (Yes, I will stay anonymous. It’s a good thing she never reads my stuff, or I’d be in real trouble.)
I saw the perfect ending for this post in a greeting card the other day and I have liberated it for your enjoyment.......
