How to Survive the Next 7 Days

You may be looking for alcohol or drug tips, and I don't criticize your choice, but I’m going a milder route. Right about now, I’ll bet you can no longer watch the news or read lengthy articles about the election. Perhaps you can no longer even read the headlines. You’ve stopped sharing political clips with your friends; in fact, you have become careful about which friends you are willing to talk to. What to do now????

Relax. I’ve got your back. I can promise you that my list of shows will not upset your digestion or your sleep. The only thing I ask of you is to add any other amusing/benign/escapist shows in the comment section so the rest of us have something to watch if this thing goes past Tuesday.

Most are on Netflix or PBS. In no particular order:

Hotel Portofino

Nobody Wants This

Royal Pains

Arrested Development -  only the first 3 seasons

The Diplomat (get ready for the new season)

The Durrells in Corfu – MY FAVORITE

anything Agatha Christie

Bridgerton

Red, White and Royal Blue

The Great British Baking Show (another personal favorite although the intros are humiliating)

Best in Show (mockumentary movie)

anything with Davis Attenborough (especially birds and fish for less violence)

When Not The Trip We Planned comes out in March, 2025, that will create another safe space for you.
